As this is a new blog, and I don’t have a lot of money to spend on promoting it, I’m going to leverage the powers of social networks to the fullest. One of those is Entrecard, which has more than 5,000 bloggers, ones I hope to reach with this post.

I will never be someone that drops 300 cards/day… I don’t have the time to do that, as I have to work on my projects - I do however drop on all the blogs I read.

I’m running a test to see how fast you guys are at dropping - this will be known as the Entrecard Power Challenge. We’ll start off with just 10 cards - if this is popular, we can move onto the fifty, hundred, two hundred and finally three hundred card challenge. Best of all, this will be recorded so people can see videos of whose best, and thus the challenge will really take place.

What are the rules?

- You must drop ten cards in as fast as possible. You can have the windows already open.

- A live video of you dropping is required. See how to enter below for a way you can do this.

- Winner must mention they have won on their blog to get the prizes.

Prizes

a) $15.00 Paypal from me. That means if you win, you’d earning $1.5/card dropped!

b) One full blog review on Da Blogger Dot Com

c) One advertising 125 x 125 for a month when I change my theme. :)

How to enter

a) Subscribe to my feed through a reader or through email. You need to do this!

b) In my feed footer, you will see a download for Camstudio. Camstudio is the open source version of Camtasia, which costs $300. I will also provide you with an instruction file and even a sales page to promote it off if you decide you want to make money with it.

c) Post here you are entering. It is time to take your video with Camstudio - you can read the instruction manual on how to do that. It’s easy!

Making the video

Make sure you:

- Screenshot your Entrecard drops before you start dropping, then screenshot it after

- Use an online timer to count how fast you complete (start timer before you drop ten, stop timer after). You can use Online Stopwatch.

- After you have created in Camstudio, save the file. You will need to make it smaller (it is very big). Use Windows Movie Maker or IMToo FLV Converter.

- Upload to Youtube.

- Post here!

d) Receive prizes if you win! :D

I hope that lots of people will enter - this is a fun way to see what people can do. I will be covering the challenge first hand here - if you’d like to give it some exposure, link to it. I took 30 seconds to drop ten cards - pretty slow, but I’m a beginning. The best that gets the fastest time (you will need a video to prove this) will win all the prizes. I’ll let you know when the contest gets over judging by the amount of entrants in the next couple days - should be within a week though :)
