Any other information

I’m sure most of you have heard that Jason Pereira of The University Kid is the owner of this site.  He bought the domain ages ago and built what you see now.  Recently, Jason has taken on many projects and hasn’t had the time to commit to Da Blogger in order to make it successful.

This is where I come in!

Jason has given me a great opportunity to take over Da Blogger. So what will I be doing, I will be writing content, promoting the site, and answering any questions you may have.

Since I will be managing this site,  I wanted to let you know who I am and my background.  My name is Andy and I work for a company managing their e-commerce sites.  I started off writing code (PHP, Java, HTML, etc.) and now I pretty much over see all daily activities for their sites.  I have been involved with projects ranging from encrypting data to PPC campaigns to natural search projects.

In my spare time, I have started two blogs mostly dealing with SEO.  I recently sold those to make some extra $$$.

Now I have the opportunity to share my knowledge with you.  I will start posting on Oct 6th and hope to give you some valuable information.  Please feel free to comment on any post and let me know if there’s a topic you would like me to discuss.

Just had a great new theme created for me by Ralph Damiano of FTL - one that will help take this blog further ahead.

My goal for this blog is a steady 100 uniques a day… after I reach that I will aim to double it, then treble it and so on. I’ll also be announcing a cash contest tomorrow to celebrate the new theme.

There are still some things I need to iron out, so please report any serious glitches you find.

The theme comes with a killer design, widgetized sidebar and 3 x footer, AJAX tabs and the works. I’ll be adding the footer stuff soon (probably MyBlogLog and similar things) as well as writing more pages (Advertise, Contact etc).

What do you think of the theme? I hope you’ll participate in the contest :)

I’m giving myself one month to see what I can do with this blog.

I have a lot of posts written up, and I’m going to get a custom theme, as well as (hopefully) a few subscribers and some revenue. Thinking of releasing a product to add value to this blog.

This is just a small update, but I’d like to let you guys know that I’ve already hired a designer and think that this can do well. I’m hoping to make $1,000 or more.

We’ll see how it goes, wish me good luck!

Sorry for not being around.

I’ve found that I just don’t have the time to update a blog daily, despite my efforts, so I will be changing the focus of this blog.

Thanks to all that commented, I really appreciate it; from now on, I’ll be bringing you news (and entering) the hottest contests in the blogosphere.

I may post informative content when possible, but don’t count on it; I don’t want to mislead my readers (I’ve just been really busy over the last few months). However, if you want to know about contests, or have contests you want me to enter, leave a comment and I’ll get to them.

I may come back to DaBlogger.Com and take it to the levels that its domain name deserves. If so I will run a contest or two just to let everyone know. :)

Sorry for not posting, guys. I am getting a new premium theme (just not sure which one to use… I might buy Brian Gardner’s. Anyone know a good, unused much premium theme out there) and one of those cool mascots that you see everywhere.

I am also going to hire writers for this website, to take some of the effort off me, so that I can concentrate on my other online ventures and you guys can still keep getting content. I know I only have maybe 5-10 readers, but you guys have stuck around and so I would like to give you something to read over during the day, so I will be screening all writers for high quality.

A cool theme I found for Wordpress recently is the Passion Duo Wordpress theme however the problem is that it is too good so lots of people are using it. Below is a screenshot, you may use it if you like it - it serves a purpose to make new blogger’s blogs look good. :)

What do you think? To thank everyone that reads this blog, I will have six ad places when I get the new theme, and anyone that comments on this post (six maximum) will get one for a month, free. First person gets it for two months!

Sorry, I’d gone away on holidays.

Anyways, I have some things in the works for Da Blogger, and I’d like to thank you guys for sticking around. I haven’t checked my email, but will be doing so over the next few days. It’s been a hectic period.

I will be getting back to posting regularly over the next few days and will try and run a contest. Cheers!

Hey guys,

Welcome to Da Blogger Dot Com - you can take this as my introduction post. I’m Da Blogger, a person who’ll remain faceless for now (you know what they say about giving out too much information online) but I’m basically a twenty something looking to venture into the world of making money online for the first time and I’ll be chroniciling my process.

I’ve run quite a few blogs, which I’ll tell you about later - none in this hugely competitive niche, although I have a few that have gotten big elsewhere. I’ll give you steps on maximising your reputation in the blogging area, an area filled thousands, if not millions of blogs with more popping up every day. A few of them are going to make it, but most of them will fail, and not just fail - fail badly. With my advice, you can avoid a lot of the mistakes that newbies to the field have and then you can start increasing important areas of your blog like traffic, RSS subscribers and so forth.

If you haven’t already, please subscribe to my feed, as I’m just starting out this blog and I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Da Blogger
