Everyone seems to be blogging about this – anyways, I got a PR2, which is surprising considering the only link work I’ve done on this blog is sponsor contests. I might start promoting this blog now as it has some value, let’s see how it goes

Jim at The Net Fool put together a nice chart talking about PR, which I was included on (overvalued according to him). To be honest I do agree with his reckoning, however I’ll happily take the higher number. :D

What did you get this PR update?

A blog I like to read regularly has gone up for sale – Bloggin-Ads.com

At the moment it has around 1,300 RSS subscribers and more than 13,000 pageviews – the auction ends in less than 12 hours with a BIN at only $5,000 (current bid $3,500) so if you want an established blog at less than retail value, make sure you put in a bid. :)

Bloggin-Ads.com | Popular Blog - Custom Theme - 1,200+ RSS - 13,000 Uniques/Month - Huge Potential!

They’re also having a contest sponsored by Market Leverage, the affiliate marketing company that is making waves in the blogosphere. First prize is an iPod Touch 8GB, valued at $299 – something I’d love to win!

The contest is sponsored by Clearly Gaming, which I’ve signed up for as dablogger. You can check them out, they have quite a few fun games.

Mike has run a pretty cool blog and I wish him the best of luck with the sale. :)

I was just browsing over Enkay Blog and noticed that he, along with Market Leverage, is giving away a brand new Asus EEE Laptop PC, a $50 AMEX Rewards Card and 3 2GB USB Pens. This is the first contest I’m covering on DaBlogger and it’s a pretty cool one.

I’ve always loved tech gadgets and a new laptop would be a pretty cool way to kick the year off. Thanks to Enkay Blog and Market Leverage (who are sponsoring lots of contests these days) I now have the chance to win. I’ve already won a gift card from them on another blog, but now it’s time to aim for the big prize.

Here’s how you get entries:

Entry #1) Blog About

The Contest (10 Entries) – Well this entry method is pretty simple, all you have to do is blog about

the contest
and link back to
this post and Market Leverage.

Entry #2) Sign Up For Market Leverage (7 Entries) – Sign up for Market Leverage with my Sign up Link and you’ll get another 7 entries!

Entry #3) Subscribe To My Blog (3 Entries) – All you have to do is subscribe to my blog and you’ll get 3 entries!

Pretty easy! I’m already signed up to ML but subscribed to his blog and blogged about the contest so I now have 13 entries. I love contests that don’t take a lot of work, and this is one of the least amount of work needed contests around! :)

Make sure you participate if you haven’t, I only found Enkay Blog yesterday and it is a pretty cool one. I love the design! :)

I did a small study of make money online blogs and their sales… damn, they’re worth a lot!

SiteFever.com – $1,500
RyanShamus.com – $2,500
SEONoobs.com $4,500
BloggingFingers.com – $6,000
OneMansGoal.com – $8,600
BlogohBlog.com – $10,000
Cashquests.com – $15,000

To me, blogs are useless without the person running them, but what do I know. According to a long ago study by 45n5, each subscriber is worth $30… I swear, I’ll get this blog to around 40 subscribers and if anyone would like to purchase it from me for $1,200 there, feel free to do so

What do you think – are they worth a lot, or is it just a passing fad?

Today I came across very interesting news – WPDesigner.com just went under the hammer at Sitepoint. Homepage PR7 and with more than 30 themes created, it had to be sold as the owner (Small Potato) is going on holiday.

Key point of WPDesigner is of course the amazing Themes Club – I joined because it’s an amazing concept, and loved the first theme enough that I don’t care even if the others are useless. It will be a sad sight to see him leave, even if it is for a short while, however I suppose it is better if he takes a break. :)

You can see his post talking about why he’s selling here. Well worth the BIN, shame I don’t have the cash.

According to the Sitepoint auction, the BIN has already been reached. Let’s see how this goes, but that was pretty quick for $65,000 to be put up! Good luck to the new owner of the site.

My friend The University Kid is holding a killer contest at his blog – with more than $3,000 in prizes and a chunk of Entrecard credits to give away there is no way that I wasn’t going to enter. TUK is run by a 16 year old student that is funnily enough in University; although a fairly new blogger he has already build up a semi-large following; with this contest there’s surely going to be many, many more. The website has a clean look and recent content, although it can get off topic at times.

Apart from that, the video review would be pretty cool, even though I don’t really have enough content yet – maybe in a month or so. There are so many prizes that I’m sure I’ll win something, even if it’s just advertising on someone’s website for a month ;)
